If you want to enjoy having natural hair, then you must condition your hair, and regularly too. Making your own conditioner will save you money, and it will also be fun to see what you can cook up in your own home and the amazing effect it will have on your hair.

Plus, when you make your own natural hair conditioner, you know exactly what went into it and you can switch things up to figure out what works and what doesn’t. That sounds like a win-win situation for us. Don’t you agree?

Here are three natural hair conditioner recipes for you to try in the comfort of your home:

Coconut oil and honey

Conditioning your natural hair with a mixture of coconut oil and honey will both moisturize and strengthen your hair. Mix them in a cup and put it in a bowl of hot water. Once the mixture is adequately heated, pour it into freshly washed hair, leave in for about 20 minutes and then wash it out.

Banana, honey and olive oil

This mixture will work wonders for dry natural hair. Bananas soften hair, olive oil provides moisture and honey locks in that moisture for a perfect combo. Blend the banana and olive oil until the mixture is smooth, and then add the honey. Drain to remove lumps, apply to your hair, and cover with a shower cap. Leave it on for 30 minutes before rinsing it out.

Shea butter and coconut milk

Coconut milk and shea butter mixed together will make your natural hair shiny and soft. Throw in some Vitamin E oil for some extra conditioning power. Blend all the ingredients until the mixture becomes thick and white. Apply on your hair and leave in for 20 minutes before washing.
